You may feel a few pricks when the anesthesia is administered, but after that, the transplant is generally uncomfortable rather than painful. Day 1–3: slight swelling and redness, transplanted hair follicles are stuck. Days 4–7: crusts form and the skin heals. Week 2–3: crusts disappear. Weeks 3–8: transplanted hair falls out (shock), this is normal and expected. New hair then begins to grow from the transplanted roots.

Shock (telogen effluvium post-transplantation) means that the transplanted and sometimes existing hair falls out 2-8 weeks after the procedure. It is completely normal and part of the healing process. The hair follicles are intact under the skin and new hair begins to grow after 3–4 months.

The transplanted hair usually begins to grow after 3-6 months. Significant growth and density are often seen after 6-12 months, and full growth and final results can take 12-18 months.

Avoid training and heavy physical activity for the first month after the procedure. Lighter activities can in some cases be resumed earlier, always follow your personal aftercare plan. You will receive clear instructions from us before and after the operation.

We offer a written guarantee on all our hair transplants. If grafts do not grow as expected, they can be replaced at no extra cost when the conditions are met, at the earliest after at least 12 months and when our instructions have been followed. If the final number of hair follicles is fewer than promised, the difference will be refunded according to the price list.
