Young with early hair loss?
Age alone is not an automatic no to a hair transplant. But the younger you are, the more important it is that your hair loss has shown its pattern before anything is moved, because the hair around a transplant can keep thinning.
A maturing hairline, where the hairline moves back about one to two centimetres and then stops, is normal between roughly 17 and 30. It is not the same as progressive hair loss, which is why the first step is an accurate assessment, not surgery.

Why we plan cautiously for young patients
The donor area is a limited resource. A hair transplant creates no new follicles, it moves existing ones, and those used early are no longer available if the hair loss later progresses on the crown or behind the temples.
In younger patients we therefore often place the hairline a little higher than you might want today, so that the result still looks natural fifteen years from now.

Plan the procedure around your term
Expect redness, scabs and swelling for the first ten days, and for the hair to look thinner around month two before the new hairs start to grow. Many therefore schedule the treatment day during a break in their studies, such as the summer or the Christmas holidays.
The final assessment is made after about twelve months, on the crown sometimes after 12–18 months. If you have the procedure in summer, you will have a stable result roughly a year later.

From Lund C to Bromma
The train from Lund to Stockholm usually takes around four to five hours. From Stockholm Central, take the green metro line to Alvik, and from there it is a few minutes' walk to the clinic at Runda Vägen 15.
