Breast augmentation

The decision on the extent of the augmentation of the breasts is made by taking into consideration the patient’s wishes, the width of the rib cage and the patient’s height.

The operation should be ideally performed under general anesthesia and operating theater conditions.

There may be temporary swelling in the breast, a purplish color change and nimbness in the nipple may occur. These start to disapper after a certain time. There may be a burning sensation around the breast for a few weeks.

For 3-4 weeks there may be pain and sensitivity upon physical contact on the breast. The tittches are removed with in 7-12 days. The patient may resume work within 3-4 days.
